Israel terror attack

An Israeli airstrike on the Syrian capital Damascus leaves at least five people dead and several others injured. The attack targeted a three-story residential building in the city’s Mezza neighborhood which houses several diplomatic missions. Video showed a large plume of smoke rising into the air. Israel media have also hinted that the Tel Aviv regime was likely behind the strike. The identities of those killed in the attack remain unknown. The attack has reportedly killed two military advisers with Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps. Israel repeatedly targets Syria with missiles and warplanes. In December, a similar airstrike in Damascus killed senior IRGC commander, Seyyed Razi Mousavi who was on an advisory mission at the invitation of the Syrian government. Iran has already warned that the Israeli regime will pay a heavy price for its criminal acts.

US-Israel genocide

As the US-managed Israeli genocide in Gaza continues, new UN figures indicate that women are among the main victims of the regime’s deadly carnage in the besieged strip. According to the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women also known as UN Women, out of nearly 25,000 people killed in Gaza, some 70 percent makes up women and children. UN Women says two mothers are killed every hour by the Israeli regime’s bombing and shelling campaign. The agency says out of nearly 2-million internally displaced in Gaza, half of them are women and girls. UN Women also estimates that at least 3,000 women, who may have become widows or heads of households, are in urgent need of protection and food assistance. The figures by the agency come as nothing has been done to address the crisis concerning women in Gaza.

Israel West Bank raids

Israeli forces have carried out fresh raids on several areas of the occupied West Bank, including a refugee camp near al-quds. The regime’s troops clashed with Palestinians during their raid on the Shufat camp. They abducted several Palestinians as well. There was another Israeli raid on the Balata refugee camp near the city of Nablus. The military wing of the Islamic Jihad resistance movement says its fighters from Nablus confronted Israeli forces at the camp. Another Palestinian armed faction named the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades also reported confrontation with the regime’s troops there. Since October the 7th, Israel has intensified its raids and arrests across much of the occupied territory. The regime’s forces withdrew from a refugee camp in the city of Tulkarm on Friday, after raiding several locations there for almost two days. The raid killed at least eight Palestinians and left a trail of destruction. Dozens of Palestinians have been abducted during a two-day raid on the Tulkarm refugee camp. According to an advocacy group, the Palestinian Prisoners' Club, some of those detained were severely beaten by Israeli forces. Since October the 7th, Israel’s military and settlers have carried out incursions into different areas of the West Bank almost on a daily basis, killing or arresting Palestinians during the raids.
