Dec. 23: ‘Axis of Resistance’ operations against Israeli occupation

Amid Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which has claimed the lives of more than 20,000 Palestinians, mostly children and women, resistance groups in Palestine and across the region continue their operations against the Tel Aviv regime and its Western backers.

The operations carried out by the Palestinian and regional resistance groups on December 23, Saturday, are as follows:

Qassam Brigades' operations on Dec. 23:

• Engaged in fierce armed clashes with Israeli regime forces in Jabalia al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip, employing commando bombs, ‘Al-Yassin 105’ shells, and ‘TBG’ shells, inflicting heavy casualties in the enemy camp.
• Detonated a booby-trapped tunnel in the Palestinian farming village Juhr al-Dik where a special Israeli force was hiding and targeted its rescue forces with heavy-caliber mortar shells, killing and injuring many of them.
• Killed at least four Israeli soldiers at zero distance in the Al-Qasaib neighborhood in Jabalia camp, three kilometers north of Jabalia in the Gaza Strip.
• Destroyed at least five Israeli tanks in Jabalia al-Balad, killing and wounding all Israeli personnel on board after reusing a few unexploded heavy missiles that the occupation had previously fired at the resistance fighters.
• Targeted the Israeli regime’s field command units south of Gaza City with heavy-caliber mortar shells.
• Pounded concentrations inside the Khan Yunis city in southern Gaza with heavy-caliber mortar shells.
• Targeted two regime vehicles with ‘Yassin 105’ shells in Sheikh Radwan, a neighborhood northwest of the Gaza City center.
• Killed an Israeli regime trooper at zero distance in the same neighborhood.
• Entrapped four Israeli military jeeps in an ambush in Juhr al-Dik, detonated explosives and killed all its members. A tank that rushed to the place was also destroyed.
• Targeted a troop carrier with a ‘Yassin 105’ shell north of Khan Yunis, setting it ablaze.
• Hit two Israeli regime soldiers with an RPG shell in the city of Khan Yunis, killing them on the spot.
• Pushed five Israeli soldiers from the Yahalom unit into one of the tunnels east of Khan Yunis, then blew it up, killing all of them.
• Targeted a group of regime soldiers east of Khan Yunis with mortar shells.
• Shelled an Israeli infantry force with an anti-personnel explosive and machine guns east of Juhr al-Dik, killing and wounding its members.
•  Targeted concentrations in the Juhr al-Dik area, east of the central Gaza region, with a 114 mm short-range ‘Rajum’ rocket launcher.

Hezbollah's operations on Dec. 23:

Eastern sector:

• At around 15:30 local time, the Bayad Blida site was targeted with “appropriate weapons.”
• At around 15:45 local time, Israeli regime soldiers were hit with “appropriate weapons” in the Tallet Al-Tihat and Jabal Nadhar areas.

Western sector:

• At around 13:00 local time, Israeli regime soldiers in the vicinity of the Birkat Risha site were targeted with “appropriate weapons.”
• At around 16:40 local time, the Jal al-Alam site was targeted with Burkan missiles, causing direct hits.
