The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah has launched a fresh round of retaliatory missile attacks on Israel’s military sites in the occupied territories in support of Palestinians amid the regime’s barbaric aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Lebanon's Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network said Hezbollah targeted with Burkan (Volcano) missiles Israel’s Branit barracks and other military posts opposite the southern Lebanese border on Monday.
The popular resistance movement also struck an Israeli infantry force on Karantina Hill near the Hadab Yaron site “with appropriate weapons.”
The television news network said Hezbollah fighters targeted the Zibdin barracks in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms “with direct fire,” causing an unspecified number of casualties. Hezbollah also targeted an Israeli infantry force near al-Dhairah and another force near al-Taihat, "inflicting casualties."
“Supporting our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and endorsing their brave and noble resistance, the fighters of the Islamic Resistance launched three offensive marches at at 01:10 PM on Monday, 20th November 2023, targeting Israeli occupation forces’ gathering centers west of Kiryat Shmona. They achieved direct hits and caused casualties,” the Lebanese resistance movement said in a statement.

Israeli media confirmed the attacks and said “some 25 rockets and three suicide drones” were launched by Hezbollah from Lebanon at multiple locations along the dividing line between the occupied territories and the Arab country.
The Israeli military said sirens sounded in the northern towns of Kiryat Shmona, Manara, and Margaliot, claiming that several of the rockets were intercepted by the regime’s so-called Iron Dome anti-missile system.
Hezbollah has reportedly fired more than 1,000 rockets, mortars, missiles, and drones at Israel since October 8, a day after the besieged Gaza Strip came under heavy shelling by the occupation regime.
In early November, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said all options were on the table against Israel, urging the Zionist regime to stop its aggression against Palestinians in Gaza immediately.
Hezbollah was ready for all possibilities, Nasrallah said at the time, adding that whoever wanted to prevent a regional war had to quickly stop the Israeli aggression against the besieged coastal territory.
Israel unleashed a bombardment campaign against Gaza on October 7, after the Palestinian resistance groups launched Operation Al-Aqsa Storm in response to decades of violence against Palestinians.
According to the figures announced by Palestinian health authorities, at least 13,000 Palestinians, including more than 5,500 children and 3,500 women, have been killed in its relentless bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
