A wildfire raged on Thursday (November 2) near the coastal town of Gandia in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia, forcing the evacuation of at least 350 people, authorities said.
Strong winds hampered efforts to tackle the flames from the air as more than 34 crews battled the blaze near the village Montichelvo, emergency services said.
Valencia regional government said they have asked for help from the Military Emergency Unit (UME) as firefighters from the entire region were drafted in to tackle the blaze.
