Thousands of people have demonstrated in The Hague in support of Palestine and against the Israeli regime's war of aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Footage shows demonstrators waving Palestinian flags and chanting pro-Palestine slogans during the Monday protest.

The Dutch demonstrators gathered in Malieveld as well as outside of the Peace Palace, before marching through the streets of The Hague.

"It is absolutely terrible how the world reacts to a genocide, which is going on. It's already [been] going on since 1948 and nobody seems to know the real history," said a demonstrator.

"And apart from where you stand, it is human rights. Nobody deserves this," the man added.

On Friday, 120 countries voted at the United Nations General Assembly in favor of a humanitarian truce in Gaza, and 14 countries voted against it, with 45 countries abstaining.

The Israeli army also launched a failed ground offensive against Gaza on Friday, after the regime's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said "the second stage of the war" has started.

Israel began its war of aggression against Gaza on October 7, after the Gaza Strip-based Palestinian resistance movements launched a surprise operation on the regime, dubbed Operation al-Aqsa Storm.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israel's war of aggression has so far killed more than 8,300 civilians, most of them women and children.
