Remaking an old Swedish oil depot into a giant underground 'thermos'
An old oil depot abandoned in the 1980s is being transformed into a giant underground hot water "thermos" to heat a Swedish town, allowing excess heat to be stored for future use.
"It will be able to store energy," explains the site's project manager, who likened it to being used as a "large battery."
