Qatar says Israel’s nuclear facilities must be subjected to the IAEA safeguards.

Doha says it views Israel’s compliance with the IAEA safeguards and joining the NPT as essential to a nuclear-weapon-free zone in West Asia.

While Israel remains an implacable opponent to Iran's peaceful nuclear energy program and rejects international oversight of its clandestine nuclear projects, the regime is speculated to possess 200 to 400 nuclear weapons.
