Yemen is marking the ninth anniversary of the September 21 revolution. In 2014, the people of Yemen led a popular uprising against the Saudi-backed, unpopular regime of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi. In the meantime, Yemen has endured the worst Saudi-onslaught backed by the US on the country, a war which has temporarily stopped but not over yet due to ongoing talks with the Saudi side.
Will this revolution bear the fruits of the hardships that were endured? Will outside interference like from the US prevent this from happening? And ultimately, will there be a peace deal? Just a couple of the angles we’ll be looking at in this edition of the program.
