Israeli forces have shot a Palestinian man over an alleged stabbing attempt against the regime’s policemen.
The Israeli police said they shot a 47-year-old Palestinian on Monday morning, claiming that he had drawn a knife on them at the Mazmuriyeh checkpoint near the occupied East al-Quds.
It added that the man was taken by medics to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The exact condition of the injured Palestinian man was not immediately clear.

The alleged stabbing attempt came as tensions have remained high across the occupied West Bank, amid a string of near-nightly raids by the Israeli army and attacks by extremist settlers as well as Palestinian retaliatory operations.
More than 200 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied territories since the start of the year at the hands of Israeli soldiers.
