Sardasht, a small city in Iran’s West Azarbaijan province, was targeted with chemical agents on June 28, 1987, during Iraq’s imposed war on Iran.

The attack killed scores of innocent people indiscriminately and left many permanently scarred and traumatized. For some, the physical and mental agony continues to this day.
