Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman has condemned Israel’s criminal acts against Palestinians, saying the occupying regime is shortening its own lifespan through ongoing atrocities and acts of evil.

Nasser Kan’ani made the remarks in a tweet on Thursday, a day after the Israeli regime carried out a deadly drone attack in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin, killing three Palestinians.

“One who sows the wind shall reap the whirlwind,” he wrote, as he hailed the Palestinian resistance groups for confronting the Israeli regime’s aggression.

He further emphasized that resistance is “the legitimate response of the Palestinian nation against terrorism, occupation and apartheid.”

“The oppressed but resilient Palestinian nation will not leave the Israeli regime’s acts of evil unanswered,” Kan’ani said. “The Zionist regime is shortening its lifespan by continuing its crimes and acts of evil.”

On Wednesday, the Israeli military targeted a vehicle near the Al-Jalama checkpoint north of the occupied West Bank of Jenin, accusing its occupants of belonging to a “terrorist cell.”

Palestinian resistance groups condemned the strike, saying the Israeli regime should pay for the criminal act.

Over the past months, Israel has ramped up attacks on Palestinian towns and cities throughout the occupied territories. As a result of these attacks, dozens of Palestinians have lost their lives and many others have been arrested.

Most of the raids have been into the cities of Nablus and Jenin, where Israeli forces have been trying to stifle a growing Palestinian resistance against occupation.

At least 174 Palestinians have been killed so far this year as a result of Israeli violence.
