Every year, June 26th is observed as the UN International Day in Support of Victims of Torture. Many around the world use this day as a chance to speak out against inhumane treatments that are currently taking place around the world. This year, a news conference held by Bahraini activists in London tried to raise awareness about the widespread torture practiced by the Al Khalifah regime in the Persian Gulf Kingdom.
