Iranian ju-jitsu fighters have shown great athletic skills at the AJP Tour Dubai International Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2023 – GI in the United Arab Emirates, collecting two gold medals.
On Sunday, Ashkan Moradi took part in the men’s GI amateur 120-kilogram competitions at al-Nasr Club in Dubai, and took home the gold.
Baraa Taher Gilmore, a competitor from Indonesia, claimed the second spot and received the silver medal, while Serbian contestant Stefan Lazarevic pocketed the bronze.
Moreover, Mehran Sajjadi, another representative from the Islamic Republic of Iran, won a gold medal in the boy’s 60-kilogram weight class.
The AJP Tour Dubai International Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2023 – GI was held between June 16 and 18 in Dubai, the UAE.
The event attracted dozens of male and female ju-jitsu fighters from dozens of academies around the world, including from France, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Portugal and Russia.
