In October 2021, the German weekly Die Zeit published an investigative report on the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (the MKO), an anti-Iran terrorist group now based in Albania.
In reaction, the MKOs German branch filed a lawsuit, a desperate attempt to save the group's face at least in Europe.
The lawsuit took exception to "eight passages" in the Zeit Magazine article and pressed for their removal.
The magazine stood its ground, triggering a protracted legal battle that lasted for more than ten months before the Hamburg district court dismissed the lawsuit in February in favor of Die Zeist.
