Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis came out nationwide to commemorate this year's International Quds Day.

Protesters in Sana'a were joined by Yemeni government officials who took to the podium to express solidarity with what was referred to as the Muslim struggle.

Government officials and protesters condemned decades of US and Western support for the Israeli regime. They vowed to liberate the land of Palestine.

Protesters in the capital also chant anti-US slogans, blaming the US government and other Western countries for years of oppression against the Muslim world. They believe the time has come to end Western involvement in the Muslim lands.

The 2023 International Quds Day comes in the midst of an ongoing peace dialogue in Yemen between the Saudis and Ansarullah movement to end the war. However, even if the war ends, The Yemeni government says it will prioritize efforts to end the Israeli occupation of the Muslims holy sites.

According to the leader of the Yemeni revolution Sayyid Abdalmalek Al Houthi, the Israeli occupation of Al Quds is not just a Palestinian issue. It is an Islamic issue which should concern all Muslims who respect their religious beliefs and the holy sites.
