This year, on the occasion of International Quds Day, the Afghan capital Kabul hosted two major ceremonies.

One was hosted by al-Mustafa University, where the attendees expressed their support and empathy for Palestine and denounced Israeli occupation. They also extended their appreciation to Iran for initiating and promoting Quds Day as a global platform for pro-Palestinian activism.

Another ceremony on this occasion was held in a Kabul mosque, drawing people from all walks of life. They joined hands in prayers for the victory of Palestine and expressed their anger over Israeli atrocities in al-Quds. Speakers called for unity among Muslims to end the suffering of their sisters and brothers in occupied Palestine.

The organizers of both ceremonies said they hoped that Quds Day would raise awareness and drum up support for the Palestinian cause among Afghans and other nations.

Despite facing many challenges in their own country, Afghans have never turned a blind eye to the cause of Palestine. Marking International Quds Day, Afghans call on Muslims globally to stand united against Israeli atrocities and occupation.
