Palestinians in the northern part of the Gaza Strip held a rally after Friday prayers to show support for the anti-occupation operations in the West Bank, and to condemn Israeli violations against Palestinians in the occupied territories.
Since the start of 2023, Israel has ramped up attacks and raids on Palestinian towns and cities throughout the occupied territories. The attacks have so far left 79 Palestinians killed, including 13 children and a woman.
The Palestinian resistance movement of Hamas has vowed that the Israeli regime will be met with more acts of resistance.
Palestinian protesters chanted slogans hailing the armed resistance and calling for stepping up the acts of resistance as the first option against the Israeli violations.
Meanwhile, the National and Islamic Action Factions and the prisoners' committee of the National and Islamic Forces, held the Friday prayers outside the International Committee of the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza, with Mahmoud al-Zahar, a senior Hamas official delivering the Friday sermon.
Speaking to Press TV, Al-Zahar confirmed the fact that the resistance in the West Bank is following in the footsteps of the resistance factions in Gaza.
After the Friday prayers, the National and Islamic Action Factions held a press conference in solidarity with the Palestinian prisoners who are subjected to an unprecedented repressive campaign initiated by the Israeli minister, Itmar Ben-Gvir.
The Islamic jihad resistance movement urged the international community to stand by the Palestinian people and support the prisoners as they are subjected to humiliating measures imposed by the Israeli prison authorities.
As the Israeli regime escalates its violations against the Palestinian prisoners, and commits more atrocities in the West Bank and al-Quds, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are like a keg of gunpowder, ready to explode at any moment in the face of the Israeli occupation.
