One year passes since Russia started what it called “special military operation” in Ukraine.
Moscow said the West’s eastward expansion up to Russia’s doorstep and the sufferings of ethnic Russian people in eastern Ukraine had forced it to take up arms in order to demilitarize and denazify the regime in Kiev. Russia annexed four eastern regions of Ukraine but has not achieved its goals yet. The west keeps supplying weapons to Kiev but still not enough to change the balance on the battlefield.
