Perhaps anticipating a hero's welcome, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to the Belgian capital on Thursday with a list of demands.

He has asked for long-range missiles and warplanes to use against Russian forces. He also wants Kiev to be granted EU membership without delay. Those with intimate knowledge of how the EU works believe it is a pipe dream.

EU leaders concluded their latest summit on Friday. The most up-to-date cost of supporting Ukraine was revealed, and it's eye-watering.

A number of EU lawmakers encourage solidarity with Ukraine but also want support for the bloc's own hard-pressed citizens.

The Kremlin has repetitively warned Western powers against getting directly or indirectly involved in the conflict.

There's no doubt that EU citizens have a great deal of sympathy and empathy for the people of Ukraine but there's a growing concern about the level of pressure, some might call it a provocation, being exerted on Russia by Western leaders. Many are nervously asking, when might Putin say enough is enough.
