One more Palestinian was shot dead early Thursday by Israeli soldiers, this time during a raid in Qalandia refugee camp north of al-Quds.

41-year-old Samir Aslan was killed only minutes after his 17-year-old son, Ramzi, was arrested by the Israeli soldiers from their home.

Aslan with other family members went to the roof of their home to watch what was going on, but a sniper shot him in the chest. And soldiers prevented his family members to transfer him to hospital until he died.

Samir Aslan is the third Palestinian killed in the occupied West Bank in the last twenty four hours.

Israeli forces killed 18-year-old Sanad Samamreh, following an alleged stabbing attack in the southern occupied West Bank city of al-Khalil. On Wednesday, 21-year-old Ahmad Juneid was shot dead in the head during a military raid on the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank.

Tensions have been running high in the occupied Palestinian territories since last year. Nearly 180 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank alone ion 2022. The United Nations said death toll was the highest since 2006 in the occupied West Bank.

The Israeli military’s brutality shows no sign of abating and is cracking down on Palestinian fighters as well as the general population here. Palestinians warn of even more aggressive policies by Israel’s current right-wing regime led by Benjamin Netanyahu.
