Tehran has hosted the second international congress on honoring Ayatollah Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah Yazdi.
The event was attended by Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi, military and state officials as well as scholars and thinkers from across the globe.
Speaking at the event, President Raeisi lauded Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi as an eminent figure and renowned jurisprudent, saying that the late intellectual was a leading authority both in the field of Islamic laws and ethics.
Ayatollah Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah Yazdi was an Iranian Shia cleric, philosopher, and political theorist who served as the spiritual leader of the 'Front of Islamic Revolution Stability.'
Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi passed away on January 1, 2021 due to illness. The late Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi spent most of his life teaching and conducting research on Islamic thoughts. Teaching philosophy, ethics in Qur'an and Islam’s political theory are among his famous works.
