Brazil needed a late strike from Casemiro to edge out Switzerland and secure their place in the World Cup last 16, with one game to spare.

The Selecao, who were without the injured Neymar, had been frustrated by a resilient Swiss defense. But then, with seven minutes remaining, Casemiro unleashed a volley from just inside the box that flew into the net with the help of a slight deflection.

With six points in the bag, Brazil face Cameroon next, as they look to top group G, while Switzerland will aim to secure the second spot, with a win against Serbia.
