Portugal got their World Cup campaign off to a winning start by beating Ghana in Group H.
Cristiano Ronaldo became the first man to score in five different World Cups, as his penalty gave Portugal the lead in the 65th minute. Ghana soon equalized through Andre Ayew.
However, within three minutes, Portugal were 3-1 in front, while Bruno Fernandes created goals for Joao Felix and Rafael Leao.
Ghana didn’t throw in the towel as Osman Bukari scored out of nowhere to cut the gap back to one. But despite nine added minutes and a nervy finish, Portugal hung on for the win to take control of Group H.
