South Africa has for decades been supporting the self-proclaimed Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in Western Sahara, a move that continues to anger Morocco which views this region as part of its territory.

The South African stance was reiterated recently when the country’s president Cyril Ramaphosa hosted Brahim Ghali, the leader of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic In the first part of our program today we are focussing on South Africa’s firm resolve to support the independence struggle of Western Sahara region currently under the control of Morocco.

The second segment of our show is on fresh demands by the people of Kenya that Britain must return the head of freedom fighter Koitalel Arap Samoei which was taken as a war trophy during the battle for Kenya's independence.
