The UK's University of Cambridge gained “significant benefits” from the transatlantic slave trade. That’s according to a new research on the prestigious university’s historical links to slavery. The research says the university gained from investments in the East India Company and the South Sea Company. It also derived wealth from slavery by the university graduates, fellows, and benefactors.
