A right-wing coalition, led by the far-right Fratellid’Italia party, has scooped a majority of the votes in Italy's snap elections.

The alliance is made up of GiorgiaMeloni’sFratellid’Italia party, as well as Matteo Salvini’s right-wing Lega party and Forza Italia, Silvio Berlusconi’s center-right party. The victory could have far-reaching implications for Italy and the European Union.
