Future of British monarchy

The State Funeral Service was held for Britain’s late queen Elizabeth II in London who died on September 8 at the age of 96. Calls growing in former colonies to remove the British monarch as head of state.

Some Commonwealth heads of state have expressed doubt about accepting Charles's leadership as King. Australia and New Zealand will hold a referendum on renouncing the British monarchy by 2025.
