Iran’s Kish airline has resumed flights to Afghanistan. Iranian and Afghan officials say this paves the way for closer economic cooperation between Iran and the conflict-stricken Afghanistan. Our correspondent reports from Kabul.
Iran’s Kish Airline is back to Afghanistan. Afghan and Iranian officials have welcomed this in a ceremony at Kabul’s international airport, and stressed the importance of closer economic cooperation between the two countries.
Iran has always tried to help boost Afghanistan’s economy, and the resumption of Kish Air flights to Afghanistan can be considered another positive step in that regard.
In recent months, Afghanistan has been deprived of many sources of international aid and even its own financial assets held in the United States. Now Afghanistan’s cooperation with Iran appears to be vital to the country’s economic growth.
Such economic activities in cooperation with other neighboring countries, promise the improvement of Afghanistan's economy, by providing job and investment opportunities for people and for businessmen.
