Iran have pulled off an epic come-back, beating Japan 68-66, in the last match of the Under 18 Asian Championship group phase, at the Azadi Basketball Hall in Tehran.
After being down by as many as 28 points, the young Team Melli rallied fiercely in the second half, to bring it back to within three points of Japan.
Then, with less than three minutes left, Sarem Jafari sank the game-tying triple, and Mohammad Amini followed up with a tough Bucket, off a drive, over a minute later, to put Iran up for good, much to the delight of the home crowd.
Amini led Iran with 23 points and six rebounds, while Jafari chipped-in eight points and five rebounds.
