The Astana process that took place in Iran was host to the Russian and Turkish presidents.

As much as Syria was the focus of the conference, there was another positive result to come out of the summit: how the three countries can solve regional issues.

One of the challenges discussed was how to convince Turkey not to pursue its military operation to combat the YPG terrorists in northern Iraq, something that Iran’s Leader conveyed to the Turkish president.
