Australia’s Nick Kyrgios has sealed a quarter-finals spot at the Halle Open, after upsetting 2nd seed Stefanos Tsitsipas.
After dropping the first set at 7-5, Kyrgios had a brilliant start in 2nd, breaking the Greek rival in the opening game, and marched-on to a 6-2 triumph, to level the match. The Australian also clinched another crucial break, late in the deciding set, to wrap up the win, after 2 hours of action-packed tennis. He struck 32 winners, including 9 aces, on his way to bag a third career victory, over Tsitsipas. In the quarter-finals, Kyrgios will face Pablo Carreno Busta of Spain.
