UEFA Nations League: Germany beat Italy 5-2 in Group A3

Germany have ended a 4-game winless run, with a 5-2 demolition of Italy, in Group A3.

The Germans were on the front-foot from onset, and their opener came within 10 minutes, thanks to Josua Kimmich. The lead was doubled on the stroke of half time, as Ilkay Gundogan stabbed in a penalty.

A powerful shot from Thomas Muller gave Germany a three goal lead, early after the break, And Timo Werner scored twice, a minute apart, to complete the humiliation.

However, Italy responded with two goals, as Wil-freed Yonto scored on a rebound and Alessandro Bastoni headed in a second for the visitors, in stoppage time. The result means Germany move up to second in the group, with six points, while Italy are third with five.
