Palestinians protested in the blockaded Gaza Strip on Tuesday to mark the 55th anniversary of Naksa Day, which refers to the defeat of Arab armies in 1967 that saw Israel’s complete occupation of Palestine and al-Quds as well as the displacement and dispossession of more Palestinians.

In recent weeks extremist Jewish settlers backed by Israeli forces have been violating the sanctity of the al-Aqsa mosque compound in al-Quds. During a press conference, Palestinian resistance factions vowed to continue on their path of resistance against the Israeli occupation.

Naksa Day came just 19 years after Nakba Day of 1948 which saw the forceful displacement and dispossession of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians upon the creation of the Israeli regime.

Palestinian resistance movement Hamas warned the Israeli regime against violations in al-Quds. Decades on Palestinians have been trying to liberate their occupied lands through all forms of resistance.

As they mark the 55th anniversary of Naksa Day Palestinians in Gaza say they will continue to resist the Israeli occupation until the liberation of their land.
