NBA playoffs: Warriors edge Grizzlies 117-116 in Game 1

The Golden State Warriors have opened their Western Conference semifinal series with a narrow 117-to-116 win, at the Memphis Grizzlies.

Going down 32-24 after a quarter of play, Golden state cut the deficit to 6 points by the end of the 2nd. The Warriors came out hot in the 3rd, outscoring the Grizzlies 36-29, to take a one point lead into the 4th, and held on for the win. Jordan Poole had a game-high 31 points for the Warriors. Game 2 will take place on Tuesday, again in Memphis. Elsewhere, in the Eastern Conference, Giannis Antetokounmpo delivered a triple double for the Defending Champions, as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Boston Celtics 101-89.
