International Quds Day

Muslims around the world have marked International Quds Day. In a show of solidarity with Palestinians, the annual event meant to promote awareness on the plight of the Palestinian people whose lands have been occupied for more than seven decades.

Demonstrators also took this opportunity to condemn Israel’s atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied territories. International Quds Day has been designated by Imam Khomeini founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran which is held annually on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan.
