People in the Indian-controlled Kashmir took to the streets in support of the Palestinian people. Thousands of people from all walks of life marched in different parts of the region holding banners and placards to voice solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine and denounce Israel's occupation of the Palestinian territories.

Each year The international al-Quds day is marked on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as a reminder to the Muslim world about the occupation of the Palestinian lands by the Israeli regime.

People gathered in mosques for congregation prayers and took to the streets immediately after prayers to demand freedom for the occupied Palestinian lands. Anti-Israel and pro-Islamic slogans echoed in the region as people decried the US-backed Israeli Oppression in Palestine.

Muslim scholars in Kashmir say, it's high time Muslims of the world must unite and follow one agenda, otherwise, the evil forces will continue to divide the Muslim community and the inter-community fights will increase.
