Real Madrid have inched closer to a record 35th La Liga title, with a 3-1 win against Osasuna, away from home.

Los Blancos found themselves a goal up after 12 minutes, when David Alaba scored on the follow-up of his own rebounded shot.

Two minutes later, Ante Budimir finished off an impressive team move, to equalize.

Real responded on the verge of first-half when Marco Asensio took advantage of a rebound, to bundle-in a second.

After the restart, Osasuna keeper Sergio Herrera pulled off heroics to deny Karim Benzema two times from the spot, in a span of seven minutes. But he had no answer to a late effort from Lucas Vazquez, who rounded off the win with a first-time shot.

Now the attention will be on Barcelona’s tonight match at Sociedad, as a loss for Xavi’s men will put Real within just one more point, of a 35th league title.
