Israeli forces have arrested nearly two dozen Palestinians during a series of overnight raids across the occupied West Bank.
Palestine's official Wafa news agency, citing security and local sources, reported on Monday that Israeli troops assaulted and detained a Palestinian after storming his house in Idhna town, west of al-Khail (Hebron).
In another incident, the heavily-armed soldiers also abducted two others after raiding and searching their homes in al-Khail. The troops also forced their way into al-Arroub refugee camp, north of the city, where they kidnapped two Palestinian teenagers.
Meanwhile, Israeli police detained three Palestinian residents after storming the East al-Quds neighborhood of Silwan, which is subject to widespread illegal construction activity by the Tel Aviv regime.
Separately, undercover Israeli agents abducted two others from Burqa village, northwest of Nablus.
Israeli soldiers brandishing guns also searched and vandalized the family houses of at least eight Palestinians in Kafr Qallil town before detaining them. They also confiscated several vehicles in the town
The soldiers also raided two houses in Meithalun town, south of Jenin, conducted a thorough search and eventually detained two others, including a high school student.
The regime has beefed up aggression across the Palestinian territories since the start of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, prompting Palestinians to ramp up their resistance operations in response.
Most recently, a shooting attack killed at least two people and injured eight others in the heart of Tel Aviv.
The Israeli violence, repeated on a daily basis, has led to fierce clashes between Israelis and Palestinians across the occupied territories.
The Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) in a recent report said 19,000 Palestinian minors, including children younger than 10 years of age, had been arrested since the outbreak of the Second Intifada in September 2000.
There are reportedly more than 7,000 Palestinians held at Israeli jails. Hundreds of the inmates, including women and minors, have been apparently incarcerated under the practice of the so-called administrative detention. Some prisoners have been held in administrative detention for up to 11 years.
Israeli jail authorities keep Palestinian prisoners under deplorable conditions lacking proper hygienic standards. Palestinian inmates have also been subjected to systematic torture, harassment, and repression.
