Anger at Saudi mass execution
Saudi Arabia's execution of 81 people in one day over alleged terrorism-related charges is drawing huge criticism. The Yemeni Committee for Prisoners of War has condemned the mass killings, warning of serious consequences for the Al-Saud regime. A number of Iraqi political movements, including Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq and Nujaba movements, have also blasted the executions in the strongest terms. The killings took place on Saturday, with reports saying over 40 of them, were from the Shia-majority region of Qatif. This is Saudi Arabia's highest number of recorded executions in one day. Among them were members of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement. The Saudi Interior Ministry says those executed were accused of deviant beliefs, and cooperation with Daesh and Al-Qaeda terror groups. No court documents are available to verify the allegations.
