The Vienna talks between Iran and the P4+1 group of countries over the revival of the JCPOA have been paused at the request of the EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, who tweeted that a final text is essentially ready and on the table, proposed a temporary halt to the talks due to what he called "external factors".

Iran says the pause can provide a momentum for resolving the remaining issues and a final return to the negotiations adding that no external factor can affect the parties’ joint will to go forward for a collective agreement. Iran has time and again stressed that Washington needs to make a political decision to ensure that Tehran’s basic demands are met.
