UEFA Champions League: Chelsea 2-0 Lille
Chelsea have taken one step closer to the quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League after defeating French club Lille 2-nil at the Stamford Bridge.
The defending champions only needed eight minutes to take the upper hand when German midfielder Kai Havertz netted the ball with a bullet header from a corner kick.
The London blues remained consistent after the break and put the match beyond doubt when Christian Pulisic put the bill into the back of the net with a precise shot in the 63rd minute.
The second leg will be held on the 16th of March.
