Washington restores Iran sanctions waiver, cancelled by former US President Donald Trump, after he withdrew from the 2015 agreement.

A senior US State Department official says the exemptions are meant to facilitate talks in the Austrian capital Vienna to revive the JCPOA. But Iran says this move is not enough. Meanwhile, a prominent US Democratic Senator Bob Menendez has vociferously shown his opposition to the deal, saying that we cannot allow Iran to continue building its nuclear capacity.
