The Jazz were the better side in the opening quarter, taking it 33-24, they kept their rhythm in the 2nd quarter with a 12-point win that led to their 68 to 47 advantage at the intermission. The hosts remained consistent after the break as they widened the gap to 32 points following a 37 to 26 victory in the 3rd quarter.
The struggling Nets could only cut the deficit to 23 points at the end as the Jazz registered their 32nd victory of the season. Donovan Mitchell tallied 27 points in the Friday night encounter at home.
Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference Leaders Chicago Bulls returned to their winning ways after edging past the Indiana Pacers 122 to 105 away from home. The Bulls managed to take a 65-62 advantage in the 1st half.
It was a close contest after the break, as the 3rd quarter finished at 28-apiece. The visitors, however, managed to win the final quarter 29-25 to earn a 7-point overall victory. Chicago will welcome the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday, whereas the Pacers will fly to Cleveland to line up against the Cavaliers on the same day.
