The Yemeni army says it has successfully liberated another 12 hundred square kilometers in the northern al-Jawf province after fierce clashes with the Saudi-led coalition's forces.
The army backed by the allied fighters from the Popular Committees took control of the al-Yatamah area, the center of Khab and al-Sha'af district in the southern borders of Saudi Arabia.
Experts say the liberated area is considered as the southern gate of the kingdom and this will open new routes for the Yemeni army to launch further retaliatory operations deep inside Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia has been intensifying its airstrikes against residential areas across Yemen killing more civilians including children.
This has pushed the Yemeni army to escalate its operations on the ground as well as inside Saudi territories.
Yemenis say they will always support their army until Saudi Arabia stops its war and siege imposed on their country. They believe that the military operations are the only way to force Riyadh to move toward a political solution that ends the years-long war on Yemen.
