Under the slogan "the US supports the military and economic escalation and the continuation of aggression and siege". Thousands of Yemenis filled the streets of the capital Sana'a and other cities to demonstrate against the US for its support for the ongoing Saudi war on their country.
Protesters chanted slogans blaming the US for the humanitarian crisis in the country saying that the US will remain the main supporter of the Saudi-led war on Yemen no matter who takes power in Washington.
Saudi Arabia launched a devastating war on Yemen on March 2015 and maintained an all-out blockade on the war-torn country.
The war has killed tens of thousands of civilians including children and led the country to the brink of famine.
People here hold the US responsible for the deteriorating situation in their country which according to the UN is suffering the world’s worst humanitarian crisis. They say the US policies have emboldened Saudi Arabia to increase its pressure on the impoverished nation.
