Iraq's developments
Iraq has witnessed an election that was mired with accusations of irregularities, regular peaceful protests against the results of that election, and an attempt to assassinate the Prime Minister. Those demonstrations were held by supporters of, not one, but several political factions. But those protests turned deadly when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the demonstrators leading to mass casualties. They are calling for calm urging that those behind the killing of protesters and the attack on the PM must face justice.
