The Golden State Warriors have maintained their perfect start to the NBA season with a 106-98 road win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Golden State got off to a sloppy start, going down 34-29 in the 1st quarter and allowed the thunder to take an 11 point lead at half time. However, the Warriors rallied in the 3rd to end the quarter with an 81-76 lead before closing out the 4th with a score line of 25-22 for a 4th straight win while inflicting a 4th successive defeat on the Thunder.
Stephen Curry led the way for Golden state with 23 points while Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 30 in the losing effort.
Meanwhile the New York Knicks snapped a 15-game losing streak against the Philadelphia 76ers with a 112-99 victory. Kemba Walker scored 10 of his 19 points in a decisive second quarter as New York took a 62-42 lead at half time. The 76ers upped their play in the 3rd to cut the Knicks' lead to 90-72 but they were unable to get any closer than 13 from there as the host ran away with their first win over Philadelphia since April 2017.
