Liverpool continued their strong performance at Old Trafford as Salah scored his second with a clinical finish before the break.
The hosts misery was completed as Salah raced on to Jordan Henderson's superb pass to complete his treble with a calm finish shortly after half-time.
The defeat piled pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as the Red Devils have only collected a single point from their last four matches in the league and slipped to 7th.
