Milwaukee Bucks 127-104 Brooklyn Nets

The new NBA season has begun with the Milwaukee Bucks launching their title defense with a 127 to 104 demolition of the Brooklyn Nets.

Leading by 12 points after a quarter of play, the Bucks saw their advantage cut to 7 as Brooklyn ended the quarter with a 16 to 5 run. Milwaukee never let the lead slip below 7 points and entered the 4th with a 97 to 85 advantage and closed it out at 30 to 19 to get their campaign off to a perfect start.

Giannis Antetokounmpo picked up where he left off last season collecting 32 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists, while Kevin Durant totaled 32 points and 11 rebounds for the Nets.

Meanwhile in Los Angeles, Stephen Curry recorded a triple-double as the Golden State Warriors stunned the Lakers 121 to 114.

Curry finished with a team-high 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. LeBron James and Anthony Davis combined to score 67 for the Lakers, who had suffered 6 successive defeats in the pre-season. The Lakers led by as many as 10 in the 1st half and were on top 90 to 89 with 9 minutes left before the Warriors took command for good with a 9-point run that opened a 98 to 90 advantage.
