Germany have qualified for the 2022 World Cup after thrashing North Macedonia 4-nil to secure the top spot in Group J.
The Germans ended the drought five minutes after the break, when Serge Gnabry played in a perfect through-ball for Thomas Müller, who then supplied Kai Havertz to tap into an empty net.
Timo Werner put Germany 3-nil up as he scored twice in a span of three minutes with his first coming from another Mueller’s assist in the 69th minute, before curling in his second from inside the area.
And Jamal Musiala capped off a brilliant night for Hansi Flick’s Men with seven minutes on the clock, as Germany sealed their place in Qatar 2022 with two games to spare.
